About WorkInTokyo

WorkInTokyo helps international professionals understand the Japanese job market. We bring together recruitment news from trusted publishers, index job postings from public sources and build tools that make Japanese job descriptions easier to read.

What we do

Working in Japan comes with unwritten rules. We focus on clear, practical information: how hiring works, what employers expect, what salaries look like and how visas affect your options.

What we don’t do

WorkInTokyo is an information service, not a recruitment agency. We don’t introduce candidates to employers, take part in hiring decisions or give legal or immigration advice.

How we work with publishers

Recruitment news on WorkInTokyo comes from independent publishers. We respect their work:

  • We show only the title, a short summary, publication date and topics provided by the publisher.
  • Every article links to the original. The full text stays on the publisher’s site.
  • We don’t display a publisher’s images unless they have given permission.
  • Our crawler identifies itself, follows robots.txt and limits how often it visits. If a site blocks automated access, we stop.
